Job Description
Adherence to Quality System for all design work carried out.
Seek understanding of commercial aspects of project (time cost warranties)
Work collaboratively with staff located in other offices.
To carry out detailed design of the allocated projects for I&C portion of the project.
Develop optimized ForConstruction Design Documentation including but not limited to
: o Instrument Index o Instrument data sheets o Selection of instrument model nos o PLC IO list o I&C cable schedule o Control system architecture o Understanding of PLC GA & wiring drawings o UPS sizing calculations o Understanding of Motor control schematics o JB grouping and understanding of Junction box wiring drawings o Provide inputs for Cable tray layouts and skid 3D models and coordinate with the draftsmen to complete the drawings. o Should be conversant with IEC IS NEMA and AS standards POSITION DESCRIPTION ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Function Task description Liaise with external agencies for following subcontracted work and ensure that their output meets the requirements and schedules. Preparation of various RFQs in line with the requirements and specifications offers evaluations vendor documents review and providing technical clearances / manufacturing clearances. Maintain all records in accordance with quality system. To advise and support the Project Manager and other project team members in areas of mechanical Electrical and detailed design and commissioning throughout all phases of project delivery. Attend and participate in internal and external (customer) project meetings. To ensure design review processes are undertaken efficiently and in a timely manner. Ensure outcomes of reviews are correctly implemented within project budget constraints. Ensure design changes are formally documented as Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) Inform team leaders managers and project teams as soon as any delays to work commitments are identified. Seek to overcome any obstacles to meeting committed deadlines. Identify the risks in projects and to notify the PM of their existence and mitigation method.
