Job Description
Role: Sr. IT Operations Manager
Location: San Francisco CA Hybrid
Duration: 6month contract to hire
Sr. IT Operations Manager
- Hands on experience managing team that do the work they are asking these people to do the work. This is the infrastructure manager.
- Need to have experience managing a team in an enterprise setting.
- Need to understand how to manage an operations. Forward looking for personnel and technology.
- Similar to the security manager role this person should have enterprise level experience.
- Take the districts standard and vision to ensure they are applied to the team.
- Hands on with the technical portion.
- need someone who can sit side by side and do what the rest of the team is doing
- role is on the IT operations side everything that is not security
- virtualization storage azure monitoring solutions. Firewalls. Switching routing
- large investment in data center great. Spent over 1 million in new gear for SF data center. Edge switches firewalls console server.
- A lot of work. Cisco shop.
- They do use palo alto firewalls ( need to understand firewalls)
- Will deploy netapp virtual storage in azure
- Cloud based back ups.
- Classical infrastructure data center hands on and cloud. person would have this.
- Done work related to Azure specifically services virtual networking billing subscription management. Virtualization Network security group
- Looking for capacity add
- Needs policies and procedures written.
- They moved from SCCM to intune.
- Kicking off an initiatives to migrate onprem to azure. Things in Azure are going to get rebuilt to best practices. Will have assistance from Microsoft and a partner
