Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a Founding Backend Engineer to join our team. As a founding engineer youll be a leader on the founding team helping us develop our initial product and define our engineering culture. Youll focus on ways we can automate complex manual mortgage processes using both new and triedandtrue technologies with the mandate to drive our platform architecture choices as well.
Requirements
- Youre a productminded engineer who loves understanding the users and business problems behind your code.
- Youre a Lego master builder who loves to move fast leveraging existing building blocks wherever possible.
- Youre excited to push the limits of what LLMs and new models can do and see them used to create real value.
- Youre familiar with the tradeoffs between building for speed and building for scale.
- Building in complex and heavily regulated spaces intrigues you deep down youre a systems nerd.
- You thrive in ambiguity where you can define your own requirements run tests and drive outcomes.
- You re a strong communicator that s used to working in remote and hybrid/remote teams.
- Youre a selfstarter whos motivated by shipping product and having an impact on users.
- Youve worked on dataintensive products and/or have built products that integrate many channels of customer communications (text email calls etc.).
- You re a full stack/backend focused engineer that is comfortable making architectural decisions and setting/managing up data infrastructure.
- Bonus You have worked in Fintech or industries with stringent security requirements.
