Job Description
JOB TITLE: Aerospace Systems Safety Engineer 4
LOCATION: Long Beach CA
PAY RATE: $88.00 per hour

Summary:
-
This is a nonmanagerial role focused on ensuring aerospace system safety and mission success.
-
Identify analyze and address safety and mission risks for aerospace systems products and services.
-
Investigate inservice fleet hazards and determine systemic root causes recommending corrective actions.
-
Work with internal and external teams to define validate and integrate safety mission success and airworthiness requirements into operations designs and procedures.
-
Conduct and oversee tests inspections and audits to verify compliance with safety and mission assurance standards.
-
Create and maintain safety training resources tools and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
-
Develop and execute safety plans corrective actions and hazard mitigation strategies.

Lead activities to ensure mission success throughout the program lifecycle.

Establish and promote global safety strategies training and innovative methodologies.

This role is covered by collective bargaining agreements in SPEEArepresented locations.
Required Skills:
-
Bachelors degree in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry with 9 years of experience.

Equivalent combinations: Masters 7 years PhD 4 years.
-
ABET accreditation preferred but not required in the USA.

Proficiency in system risk analysis safety assurance and hazard mitigation.

Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
-
Experience in developing and executing safety and mission assurance strategies.
