Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to provide accurate cost forecasts for groundup commercial and renovation projects. Your role will include analyzing project specifications selecting the best resources securing competitive prices and ensuring costeffective solutions while maintaining highquality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project documentation including property plans technical drawings and specifications.
- Conduct site visits and meet with clients to fully understand project requirements.
- Identify and source suitable human and material resources for each project.
- Solicit multiple quotes evaluate offers and negotiate favorable terms.
- Develop detailed work plans timelines and budgets.
- Perform risk assessments to anticipate potential project deviations.
- Prepare comprehensive proposals detailing materials costs and schedules.
- Collaborate with clients to address their feedback and concerns.
- Provide timely pricing for change orders and negotiate terms effectively.
- Participate in prebid meetings with owners vendors and subcontractors.
- Review material submittals and oversee approval processes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience estimating commercial groundup and renovation projects in sectors like Automotive Education Healthcare and Senior Living.
- Technical Skills: Strong quantitative analysis proposal writing and familiarity with construction documents.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation communication and organizational abilities.
- Additional:
- Ability to estimate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Selfmotivated with a cando attitude.
- Stable work history (no jobhopping).
