About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead and expand the Indirect Tax practice in the West region. This strategic role involves managing client engagements driving business development and leading a team to achieve operational and revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on GST Customs SEZ and Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) matters.
- Lead endtoend client engagements including compliance advisory representation and litigation.
- Drive technical excellence risk management and ontime delivery of highquality services.
- Manage P&L responsibilities and regional growth for the indirect tax practice.
Business Development:- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in sectors like Manufacturing IT Pharma FMCG BFSI and others.
- Collaborate with sales teams to generate leads close deals and expand client portfolios.
- Represent the practice at industry forums trade bodies and networking events to build the brand and generate opportunities.
Team Leadership:- Recruit train and mentor a highperforming team fostering growth and career development.
- Ensure team alignment with organizational goals motivation and effective resource planning.
- Build a collaborative work environment while addressing challenges and improving processes.
Requirements
What We Are Looking For:- Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or Lawyer with indepth expertise in Indirect Taxation.
- 812 years of experience in GST Customs SEZ and FTP.
- At least 4 years of leadership experience in a consulting firm or professional services firm.
- Proven track record of handling a portfolio worth INR 35 crores.
- Comprehensive knowledge of GST SEZ compliance advisory and litigation.
- Strong business development and relationship management skills.
- Leadership ability to mentor teams and manage client expectations.
- Excellent communication legal drafting and stakeholder management skills.
