Job Description

Job Title: Director of Procurement

Location: Remote (U.S.Based)
Salary: Competitive Commensurate with Experience

Job Summary:

Nebulon Dynamics Limited is seeking a Director of Procurement to lead and innovate our procurement strategies for civil engineering projects across the country. This isnt just about buying materials its about sourcing the right components negotiating critical contracts and ensuring that every project is powered by toptier resources from trusted vendors. Your role will have a direct impact on building infrastructure that supports and connects communities.

While this position is primarily remote occasional onsite visits to project locations and vendor facilities will be required. Therefore U.S. citizenship is necessary to meet security and compliance needs. If youre a strategic thinker with a passion for procurement excellence we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Strategy Development: Design and implement procurement strategies that align with project timelines budgets and compliance requirements for civil engineering projects.
  • Vendor Sourcing and Management: Identify evaluate and maintain strong relationships with a network of reliable vendors suppliers and contractors. Ensure they meet our quality and ethical standards.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with suppliers securing the best terms while mitigating risks. Ensure contracts align with project goals and legal standards.
  • Cost Control and Budgeting: Analyze market trends and pricing to ensure cost efficiency without compromising quality. Develop procurement budgets and monitor spending to meet financial objectives.
  • Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with project managers engineers and finance teams to understand project needs and provide procurement support. Foster seamless communication between internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to prevent disruptions. Ensure procurement practices comply with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve procurement processes leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency transparency and accountability.
  • OnSite Coordination: Occasionally visit project sites and vendor facilities to assess quality address issues and strengthen relationships.

What youll bring

  • Experience: 7 years in procurement or supply chain management with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in civil engineering construction or related industries is a strong advantage.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems. Strong understanding of supply chain dynamics contract law and vendor management best practices.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate contracts that deliver value while maintaining positive vendor relationships.
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong financial acumen and data analysis skills to drive costeffective procurement decisions.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead inspire and develop a team. Excellent communication and collaboration skills especially when coordinating across remote teams.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel occasionally for onsite visits and vendor meetings.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain Management Engineering or a related field. An MBA or procurement certification (e.g. CPSM CIPS) is a plus.
