Job Description

Job Summary:
Oversees the operations of a large department or multiple units within an outpatient setting ensuring the delivery of highquality costeffective and patientcentered care. Maintains compliance with relevant regulations while developing and implementing clinical standards budgets and staff development programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of one or more outpatient units ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to establish and maintain patient care and service standards.
  • Advocate for patients by resolving carerelated issues and improving processes for better outcomes.
  • Develop and manage budgets allocate resources effectively and implement costsaving measures while enhancing care quality.
  • Recruit train and maintain a competent workforce ensuring ongoing professional development.
  • Address staffing labor relations and safety concerns while managing risk.
  • Create and enforce departmental policies that align with organizational objectives.
  • Partner with leadership to plan and oversee patient services and daily departmental functions.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years of nursing experience in leadership or management roles.
  • At least five years of supervisory experience.
  • Bachelors degree in nursing or a related healthcare field or equivalent experience.
  • Active RN license in the state of practice and current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of experience in outpatient care settings.
  • Advanced clinical specialization in a relevant area of practice.
  • Masters degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Additional certifications such as PALS PEARS or ACLS depending on department needs.
