OVERVIEW
Position: Performance Coach with Boxing or Indoor Cycling Expertise
Reports to: Lead Performance Coach
Role purpose:
As a Performance Coach your primary responsibility and focus will be the Members fitness journey from initial consultation all the way through to achieving their desired goals. Creating and delivering highquality programming 121 and group coaching whilst employing a holistic approach in line with the companys policies.
Along with having a Level 3/fitness Diploma certification or Sports Degree expertise and experience teaching either Boxing or Spin/Indoor Cycling is a must.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Personalized Coaching and Client Engagement
Conduct highquality 121 coaching tailoring programs to clients fitness levels and goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to promote retention and encourage a loyal client base.
Be a positive and proactive presence on the gym floor looking for opportunities to upsell coaching.
Manage your schedule and client communications efficiently using the clubs systems and protocols.
Group Fitness and Class Delivery:
Deliver engaging and effective group fitness classes as required ensuring a dynamic and inclusive environment for all participants.
Fitness Assessments and Client Progress:
Perform fitness assessments to establish client fitness levels and monitor progress through regular checkins and updates to training plans.
Provide client education on health nutrition and lifestyle changes to enhance their fitness journey and overall wellbeing.
Prepare and submit monthly reports on client achievements challenges and overall progress to ensure transparency and accountability.
Training Environment and Safety:
Ensure the training environment is safe clean and conducive to a productive training experience.
Support the Lead Performance Coach with the onboarding process ensuring all fitness staff undergo thorough and consistent training on department SOPs health and safety consultation processes scheduling gym etiquette client journey and technologies.
Continuous Learning and Professional Development:
Demonstrate a passion for learning development and staying current with the latest research.
Actively participate in training and development opportunities pursue certifications attend educational programs and engage in professional development to expand expertise and promotional prospects.
Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and contribute to a supportive and dynamic coaching environment.
Event and Workshop Organization:
Assist in the organization and execution of fitness events challenges and workshops to engage and motivate club members.
Administrative and Team Responsibilities:
Attend team meetings and relevant training sessions as directed by your line manager.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ROLE
Experience &qualifications:
Minimum Level 3 Personal Trainer Certificate.
Proven track record of client results.
Minimum of 4 years experience as a Personal Trainer or Coach.
Experience in one or more of the following specialisms Boxing/Spinning.
CPR/First Aid Qualification.
Knowledge & Skills:
Excellent English language.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
An excellent organizer and coordinator with a keen eye for detail.
A high level of personal presentation and communication skills.
Confidence to engage directly with people and encourage and motivate them to participate in activities and events.
Excellent anatomical and theoretical knowledge and ability to apply this in a coaching environment.
A believer in strongly supportive environments sharing and being open with
colleagues.
Experience of booking systems fitness technologies and software.
