The Opportunity
Were seeking a talented and driven Project Finance Associate to join one of our esteemed clients a leading law firm specializing in corporate legal services. In this role youll work with a dynamic team to support energy project development and finance initiatives with a focus on distributed and utilityscale renewable energy projects. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to impactful work in a growing and innovative sector.
What Youll Do
- Lead and Execute: Manage USbased project development and financing for renewable energy projects.
- Draft and Negotiate: Work with principal financing documentation including purchase agreements partnership agreements credit agreements security and pledge agreements and depositary agreements.
- Ensure Diligence: Oversee due diligence related to key commercial project documentation such as development agreements PPAs EPCs site control and interconnection agreements.
- Collaborate Effectively: Partner with crossfunctional teams and clients to deliver highquality outcomes.
What You Bring to the Table
- Education: JD or LLM from an ABAaccredited law school.
- Bar Admission: Admitted or eligible for admission in MA DC NY or CA.
- Experience: At least 4 years of project finance experience at a law firm with expertise in renewable energy projects.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in handling project financing documentation and commercial agreements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
- Professionalism in client interactions.
- TeamOriented: Ability to collaborate effectively and balance multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
Your Skillset
- Project Finance Expertise: Deep understanding of financing structures and renewable energy project development.
- Contract Proficiency: Experience drafting and negotiating key agreements related to energy projects.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to provide thoughtful counsel to clients in highstakes transactions.
