Job Description
- This fulltime position will be assigned to the Department of Information Technology/GDAC/Health Information Exchange Authority and will work under the HIEA Business Relations Manager.
- This position has the responsibility for planning directing and implementing large scale health care information technology projects and ensuring they are successful from a schedule budget quality and implementation perspective.
- Typical projects involve an implementation impacting the Medicaid provider community.
- The implementations have extensive visibility and significant political monetary and health care delivery impacts.
- The Medicaid projects managed are typically medium to high risk medium high complexity and project portfolio budget exceeding 10M annually along with multimilliondollar federal grants.
- This position provides technical and business expertise to ensure projects are properly planned appropriately monitored and managed performed in accordance with DIT standards and practices and are completed ontime within budget with the desired quality and providing the expected technical capabilities and business benefits or results.
- This position functions as the Business Relations Medicaid project manager.

Ability to lead medium size complex project(s) multiple small projects at least one of which has medium risk and impact
Proven ability to provide regular daytoday planning & organize the work of others ability to multitask & demonstrated high level of written skills
Well versed in IT particularly relevant applications and platforms as well as agency and enterprise operational capabilities and strategies
Experience with providing project management leadership on complex projects and facilitating team involvement in resolving difficult technical issue
Proven ability to translate & communicate highly technical concepts information plans & procedures to both highly technical personnel & nonIT user
Knowledge of the Project Management process procedures documentation checklists and reporting criteria
Knowledge & demonstrated ability to conduct detailed planning project testing & perform risk assessments & their associated risk mitigation actions
Ability to design and manage technical projects using quality assurance practices to ensure the project will be implemented on time
Experience in developing reports and graphical presentations for technical and nontechnical audiences
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word Excel and PowerPoint) and Project
