Summary:
On of our clients is are seeking a talented and innovative Research & Development Scientist to join our growing team. In this role you will play a key part in developing new and improved dry mix products for the clients manufacturing unit. You will be responsible for researching formulating testing and optimizing dry mix compositions to meet specific performance and cost targets.
Responsibilities:
Conduct research on new raw materials and technologies applicable to dry mix products.
Develop and formulate new dry mix compositions based on market needs customer requirements and technical feasibility.
Conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate the performance characteristics of dry mix formulations including workability strength setting time and other relevant properties.
Analyse test results and optimize dry mix formulations to achieve desired performance and cost objectives.
Scale up successful laboratory formulations for pilot production trials.
Document research findings experimental procedures and test results in a clear and concise manner.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues in manufacturing quality control and marketing departments.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in dry mix technology.
Identify and propose new research projects to enhance the companys dry mix product portfolio.
Qualifications:
PhD in Chemistry Material Science Chemical Engineering or a related field (Masters degree may be considered for highly qualified candidates with extensive experience).
Minimum 23 years of experience in research and development of dry mix products or similar materials.
Strong understanding of dry mix chemistry material properties and formulation principles.
Experience with laboratory testing methods for dry mix products.
Excellent knowledge of experimental design and statistical analysis.
Strong problemsolving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication collaboration and interpersonal skills.
Ability to write clear and concise technical reports.
Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
