Location: Johnson City TNPrimary FunctionThe Project Engineer II is responsible for managing all aspects of project assignments and using the assignedproject management system as a guide to achieve the project objectives. The incumbent will coordinate with ateam in the planning organization implementation and completion of project assignments.ResponsibilitiesPlan implement and monitor moderatelevel full project development including mechanical and manufacturingaspects of project design.Maintain a current and uptodate written description of the project as defined and updated.Assist in developing business and facility strategies to maintain product line viability and growth.Participate in Project Identification meetings with marketing and management to define the specifications andscope of the assigned project.Plan and implement an engineering program using the Project Management System to achieve the objectivesof the project.Liaise with all department contacts to gain input and to communicate project activity and progress includingscheduled project reviews and reports.Review product design for compliance with engineering principles company standards and customer contractrequirements and related specifications.Coordinate activities to resolve technical developments scheduling issues and design test problems as theyarise.Evaluate and recommend design changes and specifications.Interact with other Engineering Staff to provide input regarding areas of individual expertise.Prepare project expense estimates and control expenditures within budget limitations.May provide guidance and assistance to other Engineers and Technicians with less experience.Perform other activities as needed or as directed.QualificationsBachelors degree in Engineering or related field3 years of related work experience or trainingStrong mathematical and problem solving abilitiesAbility to read analyze and interpret scientific and technical reportsStrong communication skills both orally and written to communicate with all levels including seniormanagementComputer proficiency including MS OfficeAbility to collect analyze and interpret dataHigh organizational and time management skillsWe OfferCompetitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits plans which include medical and dentalinsurance companysponsored life insurance retirement security savings plan short and longterm disabilityprograms and tuition assistance.
