Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate professional drivers who are passionate about safety customer service and community impact. This role involves providing safe and timely transportation for clients including elderly individuals and those with disabilities ensuring a highquality experience. Bilingual Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport clients to and from their destinations on time ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Assist passengers with mobility devices such as wheelchairs walkers or stretchers including proper securement of mobility equipment.
- Perform pretrip and posttrip inspections and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Comply with ADA and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations ensuring vehicles are in compliance at all times.
- Maintain accurate travel logs mileage records and trip details.
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and clients providing realtime updates when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle to ensure a professional image.
- Attend and participate in regular safety training and briefings to ensure highquality service delivery.
- Exhibit patience empathy and professionalism especially when dealing with elderly or disabled passengers.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Valid driver s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist clients with mobility needs.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings.
- Preferred:
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in transportation or customer service.
- CPR/First Aid certification.

Technical Skills Safe Driving Skills: Ability to operate vehicles responsibly and follow all traffic laws. Wheelchair Securement: Proficiency in securing wheelchairs and other mobility devices according to safety standards. Vehicle Maintenance Knowledge: Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and identify potential vehicle issues. Navigation Skills: Familiarity with GPS systems and the ability to navigate efficiently in the local area. ADA Compliance: Understanding of transportation requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act. DOT Physical Requirements: Capability to meet the physical and medical requirements outlined by the Department of Transportation (DOT). Customer Service Skills Passenger Assistance: Ability to assist passengers with mobility devices, entering/exiting vehicles, and ensuring their safety and comfort. Professional Communication: Strong verbal skills to interact courteously with clients, dispatchers, and team members. Empathy and Patience: A compassionate approach to working with elderly, disabled, and medically vulnerable individuals. Problem-Solving: Ability to address client concerns or unexpected issues calmly and effectively. Organizational Skills Record Keeping: Ability to maintain accurate travel logs, mileage records, and trip details. Time Management: Punctuality and the ability to adhere to schedules while ensuring passenger safety. Attention to Detail: Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and adhering to safety protocols. Interpersonal Skills Team Collaboration: Willingness to work as part of a team with dispatchers and other drivers. Adaptability: Ability to manage changes in schedules, routes, and client needs effectively. Cultural Sensitivity: Respectful and inclusive interactions with diverse populations. Physical Skills Strength and Stamina: Ability to lift and assist passengers and mobility devices up to 50 pounds.
