We are seeking a detailoriented and efficient Stewarding Supervisor to join our team in Doha Qatar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the stewarding department ensuring high standards of cleanliness and maintaining excellent service levels in our food and beverage operations.
- Supervise train and evaluate the performance of stewarding staff ensuring adherence to hotel standards and procedures
- Coordinate daily assignments and priorities for the stewarding team adjusting as needed throughout shifts
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness sanitation and organization of all work areas including kitchens restaurants and storage facilities
- Ensure proper maintenance and use of equipment following safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions
- Collaborate with kitchen and restaurant teams to meet service needs and requirements
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with health regulations and hotel standards
- Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and operating equipment placing orders as needed
- Resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally maintaining positive guest relations
- Implement and monitor pest control measures in accordance with hotel standards
- Assist in coordinating stewarding requirements for banquet functions
- Provide regular feedback on staff performance and participate in employee counseling when necessary
- Ensure proper chemical handling and maintain required temperature and solution standards for dishwashing and pot washing
- Complete and follow up on work orders for maintenance repairs coordinating with the engineering department as needed
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a food service janitorial position
- Previous supervisory experience in a hospitality setting
- Comprehensive knowledge of proper cleaning techniques equipment usage and chemical handling
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic and inventory management
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
- Detailoriented with a strong focus on efficiency and organization
- Ability to motivate and lead a diverse team
- Problemsolving skills and ability to make quick decisions in a fastpaced environment
- Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations in the food service industry
- Customerfocused mindset with a commitment to maintaining high service standards
- Proficiency in using computer systems for inventory and scheduling
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kg when necessary
