SAP Plant Maintenance Sr Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) Architect with extensive experience in equipment maintenance and service management for the telecommunications industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP PM and related modules along with handson experience in managing infrastructure network assets and service reliability in telecom. As the SAP PM Architect you will be responsible for designing implementing and optimizing SAP PM solutions to support the maintenance of telecom equipment towers network elements and other critical assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Architecture and Design: Develop and architect endtoend SAP PM solutions tailored for the telecommunications industry covering infrastructure and equipment maintenance network asset management and service management.
• Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with telecom engineers maintenance managers and stakeholders to understand and document specific maintenance needs for telecom equipment translating them into SAP PM functional specifications.
• System Configuration and Customization: Configure SAP PM modules focusing on preventive and corrective maintenance asset lifecycle management and network service management to support telecom infrastructure.
• Integration with Other SAP Modules: Ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules including SAP MM (Materials Management) SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) SAP FI/CO (Finance and Controlling) and SAP CS (Customer Service) to facilitate comprehensive equipment and service management processes.
• Maintenance Planning and Scheduling: Design efficient maintenance planning processes leveraging predictive maintenance features to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
• Data Management and Migration: Lead data migration for assets telecom equipment and maintenance history ensuring data accuracy and integrity during transition processes.
• Industry Compliance and Standards: Implement processes that adhere to telecom industry standards and regulatory requirements ensuring that maintenance and service activities meet compliance requirements.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Oversee testing phases including unit testing integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure SAP PM solutions meet operational requirements and quality standards.
• Training and Knowledge Transfer: Conduct training for telecom operations teams maintenance engineers and superusers to ensure smooth adoption of SAP PM solutions within telecom infrastructure maintenance.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in SAP PM processes and implement optimizations to enhance telecom asset reliability reduce maintenance costs and streamline field service management.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Telecommunications Electrical Engineering Information Systems or a related field; Masters degree or SAP certifications are preferred.
• Experience: 8 years of SAP experience with at least 5 years in SAP PM focused on telecom or similar industries; experience with SAP S/4HANA is preferred.
• IndustrySpecific Skills:
  • Expertise in maintenance and lifecycle management for telecommunications equipment such as network towers radio units fiber optics and switching centers.
  • Familiarity with telecomspecific maintenance practices including remote monitoring troubleshooting and field service operations.
• Technical Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge in SAP PM configuration especially for equipment and network maintenance.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance and IoT integrations to monitor equipment performance in realtime.
  • Proficiency in integrating SAP PM with SAP CS for customer service and SAP MM for spare parts and materials management.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills especially in handling large distributed network assets.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for crossfunctional collaboration with telecom engineering teams and field service personnel.
  • Detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Leadership skills for guiding and mentoring junior team members.

Preferred Skills:

• Project Management: Familiarity with Agile or project management methodologies relevant to telecom industry projects.
• SAP Certifications: SAP certification in PM SAP S/4HANA or related modules.
• Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of telecomspecific tools and technology (e.g. OSS/BSS systems network management systems).
