About the role
As a Tax Clerk you will support the tax department by ensuring accurate and timely filing of tax documents maintaining tax records and assisting with various taxrelated tasks. This role is essential in helping Nabis maintain compliance with local state and federal tax regulations. You will work closely with the Tax Manager and other members of the finance team to ensure all tax obligations are met.
Working hours for this role are: 9am 5pm PST or 12am 8am Manila Philippines time.
What youll do
- Assist in preparation of the tax provision and estimated tax filings
- Prepare federal and state indirect and informational filings including but not limited to gross receipts tax sales tax excise tax 1099 and 8300 filings.
- Maintain and update tax records ensuring accuracy and compliance with current regulations.
- Research and resolve discrepancies in tax records and reports.
- Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and provide necessary documentation.
- Support the tax team in audits and other taxrelated projects.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with local state and federal tax laws.
- Perform general administrative tasks related to the tax department such as organizing files and managing correspondence.
- Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations that may affect the company.
Requirements
Qualifications
- 12 years of experience in tax preparation accounting or a related role required.
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field required.
- Basic understanding of US State and Local tax regulations and procedures required.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online accounting software preferred but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Ability to learn various new software platforms required.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changes in tax regulations and company processes.
