Job Overview
A reputable law firm in Dallas TX is seeking a skilled Attorney with extensive experience in insurance defense to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years in insurance defense practice be licensed to practice law in Texas and possess strong case management and advocacy skills. This role requires a commitment to client representation and professional development in a fastpaced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in various insurance defense cases including personal injury property damage and professional liability.
- Conduct indepth legal research and draft motions pleadings and discovery responses.
- Develop and execute effective case strategies from inception through trial or settlement.
- Participate actively in pretrial trial and posttrial proceedings including depositions mediations and court appearances.
- Keep clients informed with regular updates and provide sound legal guidance.
- Collaborate with attorneys paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
- Maintain thorough and timely case records and documentation.
- Stay uptodate with developments in insurance defense law and fulfill Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the Texas Bar.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense.
- Proven ability to manage a high volume of cases under pressure.
- Strong analytical research and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and CLE requirements.
