In this role you will handle complex litigation cases providing strategic advice and representation to clients within the insurance industry. Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in litigation matters related to insurance coverage disputes and bad faith claims.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy and arguments.
- Draft pleadings motions and legal briefs for submission to courts.
- Manage discovery processes including the collection review and production of documents.
- Engage in settlement negotiations mediation and trial proceedings as needed.
- Develop legal strategies to effectively advocate for clients positions.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of insurance law and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a comprehensive approach to all cases.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admittance to the state bar in New York.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance litigation and bad faith claims.
- Strong understanding of insurance policies coverage disputes and related legal precedents.
- Exceptional analytical legal research and writing skills.
- Capability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in trial advocacy and litigation management.
- Demonstrated track record of successful outcomes in insurance litigation.
- Proficiency in litigation software and legal research tools.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $180000 $200000 annually
