Experience: 4 10 Years
Education: Graduate / Post Graduate in Chemistry Chemical Engineering Food Technology Dairy Technology.
Roles & Responsibility:
1. NPDs aligning with business objectives: To ensure that NPDs of businesses in the category are delivered on time meeting business requirements and to ensure that the specifications (RM SFG and FG) BMR and BOM are robust.
2. Squeeze initiatives: To ensure that squeeze initiatives are periodically undertaken to improve the % GM as aligned with businesses in the category
3. Working capital reduction: To ensure that NMS / SMS under the purview of category (RMs SFGs) are being effectively addressed on a timely basis.
4. Regulatory: To ensure that the products developed in the category meet appropriate regulatory norms.
5. Continuous product improvement: To periodically work on product revamp targeting both cost reduction along with performance improvement to achieve Genius of AND.
6. Idea pipeline (product / process / research / assays): To build a pipeline of product / process ideas & initiating development of new & differentiated products as aligned with CL and TL keeping in mind future growth / development prospects; To make use of technology like chat GPT as a knowledge partner in the process.
7. R&D led innovation pipeline (product / process / research / assays): To work on new and differentiated products / process in alignment with CL and TL which will help create business opportunities.
8. IPR: To work on the potential areas of opportunities identified by CL and TL to develop IPRs for the organization. Also to ensure conversion of IPRs to product in relevant areas.
9. Competition Understanding: To continuously track competition products w.r.t performance formulation pricing format communication and positioning.
10. Consumer Understanding: To continuously interact with relevant consumers to generate insights by identifying needgaps usage attitude w.r.t respective product categories etc. and convert the learning to new business opportunities / research areas / claim platforms
11.Process audit compliance: To be compliant to internal process audits related to data storage & management and documentation and tech transfer
12. Enhancing productivity of R&D: To be compliant to processes related to automation outsourcing etc aimed towards eliminating routine work.
13. Upskilling: To actively identify relevant skill sets in new areas / technologies which can propel future research and get trained.
Competences:
1. Strong understanding of technical concepts in Chemistry / chemical engineering / Dairy or Food technology.
2. Critical observation skills.
3. Lateral thinking.
4. Prior knowledge / experience in surfactant / polymer applications.
5. Experience in developing cosmetic products / traditional food / dairy products.
