Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack.

Desired candidate profile

    • Proven Success: Strong history of managing sales pipelines and meeting/exceeding sales targets and quotas. Experience in complex B2B sales cycles is essential.
    • Oracle Product Knowledge: Familiarity with Oracle's product suite (e.g., Oracle Cloud, Oracle Applications, Oracle Databases) is a strong plus.
    • Lead Qualification: Experience in managing lead qualification processes and leveraging CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle Sales Cloud) for tracking and pipeline management.
  • Cloud & Technology Expertise:

    • Cloud Solutions: Strong understanding of cloud technologies, especially Oracle Cloud, and other cloud services such as SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS.
    • Solution Selling: Expertise in consultative, solution-oriented sales approaches, with the ability to map complex customer requirements to Oracle’s solutions.
    • Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand the technical aspects of Oracle's products and how they align with customers' business needs.
  • Communication & Negotiation Skills:

    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Presentation Skills: Comfortable presenting to senior-level executives and facilitating discussions on business challenges and solutions.
    • Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to drive high-value deals to closure and manage contract discussions.
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking:

    • Data-Driven: Ability to leverage pipeline data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for pipeline acceleration.
    • Forecasting Expertise: Proficient in sales forecasting, opportunity management, and pipeline health assessments.
    • Problem-Solving: Strong ability to analyze and address obstacles or inefficiencies in the sales pipeline, taking proactive steps to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork:

    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with sales, marketing, product, and technical teams to drive alignment and achieve shared sales goals.
    • Team-Oriented: While independent work is important, being a strong team player is key to success, collaborating with others to improve overall pipeline management and sales effectiveness.
