We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef specializing in Italian cuisine to join our culinary team in the beautiful coastal city of Sharm El Sheikh Egypt. As the secondincommand in our kitchen you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional Italian dining experiences for our guests while supporting the Executive Chef in daily operations.
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning development and execution of authentic Italian dishes
- Oversee daily kitchen operations ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation
- Train supervise and mentor kitchen staff to maintain culinary excellence
- Manage inventory food costs and kitchen resources efficiently
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with the frontofhouse team to enhance guest satisfaction
- Step in for the Executive Chef when necessary demonstrating strong leadership skills
- Contribute creative ideas to seasonal menu changes and special promotions
- Maintain a clean organized and safe kitchen environment
Qualifications :
- Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution
- Minimum 35 years of experience in Italian cuisine with previous Sous Chef or leadership experience
- Advanced knowledge of Italian culinary techniques ingredients and traditions
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team
- Strong menu planning and development skills
- Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation practices with current certification
- Proficiency in kitchen management including inventory control and cost management
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
