Job Description
Major Construction company seeking an Electrical Estimator to work at our Evansville Indiana location.
Work Schedule:
- Prepare cost estimates for various projects including conceptual designbuild and general tender work.
- Independently calculate materials labor and equipment costs based on proposals plans and specifications including project closings.
- Review data to determine material and labor requirements creating detailed itemized lists.
- Draft requests for quotations to secure competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Utilize estimating software (e.g. Accubid Classic or Anywhere) for precise cost calculations.
- Collaborate with Estimating Manager to establish indirect costs and overheads for each estimate.

2 + years of electrical estimating experience in the electrical contracting industry. Experience in developing electrical service quotes/estimates in a similar role. Knowledge of electrical sub-trades scope of work. Understanding of electrical drawings and interpret schematics and P&IDs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); knowledge of Accubid Estimating Software.
Education
A bachelor s degree from a four-year college or university preferred
