Job Description
We are a dynamic and growing construction company dedicated to delivering quality projects on time and within budget. We are seeking a motivated and detailoriented Buyer to join our team. The Buyer will play a vital role in managing procurement and inventory for the company ensuring that materials and supplies are sourced stored and distributed effectively to support our construction projects.
Requirements
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Procurement (Buyer Responsibilities):
Source negotiate and purchase construction materials tools and equipment.
Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable delivery.
Ensure timely procurement to prevent project delays.
Manage purchase orders and track delivery schedules.
Conduct market research to identify costeffective suppliers.
Monitor and control procurement budgets to avoid overspending.
Inventory Management (Storeman Responsibilities):
Oversee the receipt storage and distribution of construction materials.
Conduct regular stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records.
Ensure materials are stored safely and in compliance with safety regulations.
Manage inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
Coordinate with project managers to forecast material requirements.
Keep the storeroom organized and ensure it operates efficiently.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- Costsaving initiatives.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and timemanagement abilities.
Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office (Excel essential).
Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
Understanding of construction materials and tools.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver s license.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
