Job Summary
The Head of IT and Web Support will lead the IT and web support team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information technology web development and team management. He will be responsible for overseeing the daytoday operations of the IT and web support department ensuring the smooth functioning of the systems and websites. The Group Head of IT/Web Support will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining best practices in IT infrastructure and web development as well as managing a team of IT professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the IT and web support team providing guidance support and mentorship to team members.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving IT infrastructure and web development processes.
- Oversee the maintenance and security of all company websites ensuring they are uptodate and functioning properly.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify IT and web support needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers ensuring they meet our standards and requirements.
- Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Stay uptodate on emerging technologies and trends in IT and web development and make recommendations for their adoption.
- Monitor and analyze IT and web support metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Plan and manage the IT and web support budget ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
- Handle escalated IT and web support issues and incidents providing timely resolution and communication to stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within IT and web support with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure network administration software development and web technologies.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and teambuilding skills with a track record of motivating and developing highperforming teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align IT and web support initiatives with organizational objectives and priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change and innovation with a passion for leveraging technology to drive business value.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in IT and web development.
- Certifications such as CISSP PMP ITIL or relevant vendor certifications are a plus.
