Job Description

Position Overview: We are recruiting on behalf of a major construction company for an Electrical Estimator to join their team in Evansville Indiana. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for various construction projects collaborating closely with the Estimating Manager and managing the bidding process to secure competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical estimating familiarity with industry software and a keen attention to detail.
Work Schedule: 8hour shift Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for conceptual designbuild and general tender work including project closings by calculating materials labor and equipment costs.
Bid Management: Review project data to determine material and labor requirements and create detailed itemized lists. Draft requests for quotations to secure competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
Software Utilization: Use estimating software such as Accubid Classic or Anywhere to perform precise cost calculations.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Estimating Manager to establish indirect costs and overheads ensuring accurate and competitive bids.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor s degree from a fouryear college or university (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of electrical estimating experience in the electrical contracting industry.
- Experience in developing electrical service quotes/estimates in a similar role.
- Minimum of 2 years of electrical estimating experience in the electrical contracting industry.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel).
- Knowledge of Accubid Estimating Software.
- Strong understanding of electrical drawings schematics and P&IDs.
- Familiarity with electrical subtrades scope of work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel).

7+ years of safety experience 3+ years of direct supervisory experience. A bachelor s degree in safety or a related field, or equivalent experience. Broad and detailed regulatory, training, inspection, and auditing knowledge. Construction or manufacturing industry experience is required. Knowledge of compliance relating to DOT, MSHA, and other federal regulations. Willingness to work overtime as needed during periods of shutdown.
