Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.

2. Sales Management:

  • Oversee the sales team, setting performance targets and ensuring that sales goals are met or exceeded.
  • Monitor sales performance and analyze metrics to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies as needed.

3. Marketing Campaigns:

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and social media.
  • Create compelling marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, and online content, to promote products or services.

4. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to enhance customer loyalty and retention.
  • Address customer inquiries and feedback, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

5. Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the sales and marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.

6. Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to achieve objectives.
  • Monitor expenditures and analyze return on investment (ROI) for marketing initiatives.

7. Collaboration with Other Departments:

  • Collaborate with product development, operations, and finance teams to align strategies and ensure product availability and pricing competitiveness.
  • Work with external agencies and partners to enhance marketing efforts and drive sales growth.

8. Market Analysis:

  • Analyze market data and sales performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on sales performance, marketing effectiveness, and market insights.

9. Brand Management:

  • Ensure consistency in brand messaging and positioning across all marketing channels and materials.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance brand awareness and reputation in the market.

10. Performance Evaluation:

  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of sales and marketing strategies and campaigns, making adjustments as necessary to optimize results.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to stay informed about industry developments and adjust strategies accordingly.

Desired candidate profile

1. Education:

  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
  • Advanced Education: A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Marketing is a plus.

2. Experience:

  • Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in sales and marketing, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the relevant industry (e.g., hospitality, retail, consumer goods) is preferred.

3. Sales and Marketing Skills:

  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Campaign Management: Experience in planning and executing effective marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, social media, print).

4. Analytical Skills:

  • Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, customer preferences, and campaign performance.
  • Reporting: Proficiency in preparing reports and presenting insights to senior management.

5. Leadership and Team Management:

  • Team Leadership: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales and marketing team.
  • Training Skills: Experience in conducting training and development sessions for team members.

6. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Effective Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
