Title: General Laborer/Material Handler
Location : Chesapeake VA (ONSITE)
Shift : 6:30 a.m. 3:00 p.m. MF
Contract : 3 months contract to begin with
Citizenship Requirement: US Citizens

Job Description
Client is seeking successful candidate to perform a wide variety of tasks relating to incoming and outgoing of equipment parts materials and merchandise.
Must be able to learn and execute the Logistics and Asset Management requirements of the United States military and government agencies according to client and the governments specifications.
The candidate assists with the packing unpacking in accordance with established standards and procedures.
Periodically involves some carpentry work along with lifting movement and placement of heavy items by hand or with the assistance of material handling equipment (forklift handtruck or dolly).
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
Must be able to adhere to all company policies and safety procedures. Works with other team members to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Good communication skills to function in team environment.

Performs an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials picking and filling orders from stock packing and shipping orders or managing organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
Prepare and stage parcels for shipping or storage.
Follow all safety policy and procedures while handling heavy items.
