Job Title: Material Coordinator

Department: Pole & Power

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently handle materials and products in a manufacturing facility or distribution center.

  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks and order pickers.

  • Ensure proper placement and securing of items to prevent damage during transport.

  • Perform inventory control activities including counting sorting and organizing materials.

  • Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.

  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned area.

  • Conduct regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.

Experience & Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in shipping/receiving or materials handling preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory control.

  • Proficient in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks and order pickers.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing operations and orderpicking processes.

  • Forklift certification is a plus.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of 12 years in similar position or manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity with tape measures and imperial measurement.

  • Meet the physical requirements of the position.

  • Background check drug screening and physical exam required.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

  • Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise extreme temperatures and environmental stressors.

  • Physical Activities: Sit stand walk bend climb crouch reach and grasp as needed.

  • PPE: Wear required PPE including eye and hearing protection gloves and safety toe footwear.

  • Stamina: Stand for long shifts.

  • Skills: Effective communication basic math skills and teamwork.

  • Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
