About the Role:
As Head of Geography you will:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Geography department aligning with the schools overall vision and educational goals.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that is engaging challenging and promotes lifelong participation in Geography for all students.
- Ensure the Geography program complies with national curriculum requirements and incorporates innovative teaching methods.
- Lead by example teaching highquality Geography lessons that foster a love of the subject and physical activity amongst students of all abilities.
- Oversee the work of Geography teachers within the department providing guidance support and professional development opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Geography program implementing improvements based on data analysis.
- Build strong relationships with students staff and parents fostering a positive and inclusive environment within the Geography department.
- Promote the importance of geography and its relevance to the wider world.
- Oversee and develop a range of extracurricular geography clubs and activities.
- Encourage participation in interschool competitions and external geographical events.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments within the school to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
- Contribute to the wider school community by participating in school events and initiatives.

- A highly qualified and experienced Geography teacher with a proven track record of success in leading and developing Geography programs.
