Scope and Objectives
The Runner is responsible for dispatching collecting restocking delivering & inventorying all housekeeping supplies to Guests floors pantries or storage to enable smooth operation and control of stock. He / She is also responsible for overlooking the Housekeeping store room inventory cleanliness & tidiness which include OS&E items cleaning supplies machineries & room amenities. The runner may be assigned basic cleaning tasks at any given time. The Runner keeps guests perspective in mind at all time to carry out the mission of the Housekeeping Department as well as the company values & vision.
Primary Responsibilities
- Report to shift on time in issued uniform in a neat clean and tidy appearance at all times.
- Maintain excellent personal appearance and hygiene according to grooming standard.
- Attend daily briefing.
- Attend to training session when required.
- Greet guests and address them by name at all times when applicable
- Propose help to guest whenever applicable
- Deliver item to guest in a timely manner and according to standard set.
- Sign in and out master keys & devices daily responsible for safe keeping of both
- Report maintenance issues found in work areas & escalate request when repairs are delayed.
- Receive transfer & store all goods to designated storage area.
- Ensure cleanliness & tidiness of all storage areas are in strict compliance of hygiene & health & safety regulation
- May be requested to assist in cleaning tasks such as vacuuming dusting sweeping etc.
- Deliver and set up stores according to service established standards
- Keep accurate & clear records of all incoming & outgoing items including OS&E items cleaning suppliers machineries & minibar items to ensure accurate inventory escalate discrepancy to Supervisor if any
- Collect goods from floor store rooms to pickup station or pantries
- Restock pantries with amenities & linens according to set up standard
- Delivery goods supplies to designated floor store rooms after restocking is completed
- Conduct weekly / monthly inventory for all store room items ensure clear & accurate record is maintained at all time
- Notify supervisor of any low stock items
- Raise requisition for consumable items
- Escalate par level needs of all consumable items to higher management.
- Ensure all machineries returned are cleaned & in good condition
- Ensure all tools & equipment used are properly cleaned & stored at end of shift
- Hand in and properly tag nonvaluable lost and found items in Housekeeping Office. Report to Supervisor for any valuable items found immediately.
- Follow departmental policies & procedures and service standards
- Adhere to Company policies & procedures and comply with Code of Conduct
- Follow all Fire Life Health & Safety Security policies and strive for constant improvement to avoid health and safety hazards.
- Participate in the company recycling program and follow a strict discipline to reduce reuse and recycle wherever possible. (Sustainability).
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor / Assistant Executive Housekeeper Rooms / Executive Housekeeper Rooms.
Qualifications :
Required Experience
Previous Housekeeping storeroom experience is preferred.
Required Knowledge
Basic mathematic skills knowledge of Excel & computer skills
