Job Description
We are currently seeking for passionate and dynamic Maintenance professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests. As a Kitchen/Laundry Technician you are responsible for all the Kitchen and Laundry equipments maintenance as instructed while adhering to Hotel policies and procedures. Reporting to the Chief Engineer responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Ensure that all kitchen and laundry equipments are properly maintained and service to upkeep all equipments and to avoid breakdown.
Perform preventive maintenance and completes the turnover quickly and efficiently in order to satisfy and meet the Guest needs.
Respond to breakdowns of equipments and being available in case of emergency and applying the appropriate action as per Hotel policy and standards.
Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests and colleagues health and safety as well as protect and conserve the environment.
Comply with the hotel environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
Perform general repair and maintenance duties in regard to laundry plumbing and electrical systems
Do elementary painting and finishing of furniture and structure
Check electrical system such as refrigeration controls television sets and lighting systems and make minor repairs.
Check and make minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipelines toilets and sinks.
Perform basic maintenance and repair of laundry equipment using manuals and their past history.
Reissue and exchange wornout clothing.
Maintain security measures by counting and making rounds through the laundry on a periodic basis.
Ensure that no ironing or starching is done on unauthorized clothing.
Ensure that the proper amount of cleaned clothing is returned to the delivering officer.
Ensure that the building as well as the outside area designated for laundry is kept clean and secure.
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- Previous service experience is an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs remain calm and courteous at all times.
