The IT Associate is responsible for providing technical support managing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues and assisting in the maintenance and optimization of IT systems. This role requires a proactive approach to problemsolving a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical users.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
- Provide firstline support for endusers experiencing technical issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware software and network problems.
- Assist with the installation configuration and maintenance of computers printers and other IT equipment.
System Maintenance:
- Monitor and maintain IT systems and networks to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Perform routine system backups and ensure data integrity.
- Apply software updates and patches as needed.
User Assistance:
- Assist in onboarding new employees with IT equipment and software setup.
- Provide training and support to users on various software applications and IT policies.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of IT support requests and resolutions.
- Document system configurations processes and procedures.
Project Support:
- Assist with IT projects including system upgrades installations and rollouts.
- Participate in testing and evaluation of new technologies and solutions.
Compliance and Security:
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining IT security measures and protocols.
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
- Education: Associates degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field. A bachelors degree is a plus.
- Experience: 13 years of experience in an IT support role or similar position.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting.
- Experience with common office productivity software (e.g. Microsoft Office Google Workspace).
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Certifications: (Preferred but not required)
- CompTIA A or similar certification.
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or similar certification.
