Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching and Academic Leadership:
- Deliver advancedlevel lectures practical sessions and workshops in forensic medicine to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop and review the curriculum to align with medical education standards and forensic medicine advancements.
- Supervise postgraduate theses research projects and case studies.
- Mentor junior faculty and students fostering academic growth and development.
2. Research and Scholarly Contribution:
- Lead and conduct highimpact research in forensic medicine toxicology or medicolegal aspects.
- Publish research findings in reputable journals and present at national and international conferences.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for innovative forensic and medicolegal research.
- Secure research grants and funding for departmental projects.
3. MedicoLegal Expertise:
- Provide expert opinions in medicolegal cases including autopsies injury evaluation and toxicological analysis.
- Guide hospitals and legal authorities in medicolegal documentation and procedures.
- Represent the department in medicolegal consultations with law enforcement and judicial bodies.
4. Administrative and Leadership Duties:
- Participate in departmental and institutional management including policy development and accreditation processes.
- Organize and coordinate academic events such as conferences workshops and seminars.
- Contribute to faculty recruitment development and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with medicolegal and ethical guidelines in departmental operations.
5. Community Outreach and Engagement:
- Conduct training programs for healthcare professionals law enforcement and legal practitioners.
- Promote public awareness about medicolegal issues and forensic medicine practices
Requirements
Skills and Competencies:
- Advanced knowledge of forensic pathology toxicology and medicolegal aspects.
- Strong research background with publications in peerreviewed journals.
- Excellent teaching and mentorship abilities.
- Proficiency in medicolegal procedures documentation and reporting.
- Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
