Position: Senior Project Scheduler

Position Overview:
As a Senior Project Scheduler you will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of large commercial construction projects. This seniorlevel position involves leading scheduling responsibilities for major projects and smaller assignments. You will assemble analyze and develop comprehensive project schedules collaborating with project teams and trade partners to ensure efficient and timely project delivery. You will also provide analysis problemsolving and report creation to support project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of detailed project schedules collaborating with project teams and trade partners to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Assemble and analyze project information to prepare clear and actionable documents helping to eliminate design discrepancies and improve planning efficiency.
- Monitor project progress ensuring that schedules are adhered to and updating them as needed according to departmental procedures.
- Input analyze and monitor design deliverables procurement and construction schedules.
- Develop internal and external reports to describe project status including forecasts and updates.
- Apply advanced planning scheduling and cost management techniques to improve project outcomes.
- Produce conceptual schedules with minimal input refining them through collaboration with the project team.
- Maintain a database of likely schedule durations for various activities and overall project timelines.
- Critique vendor and subcontractor schedule updates ensuring they accurately reflect project progress.
- Understand the flow and logistics required for successful project execution working closely with project managers and discipline leads to identify opportunities for improvement and mitigate delays.
- Recommend workarounds and adjustments to keep the project on track and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- 710 years of experience in industrial or commercial construction scheduling.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Strong knowledge of construction disciplines and scheduling best practices.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and ERP cost management tools.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management Engineering Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong proficiency in 3D modeling and scheduling.
- Experience developing baseline project schedules and progress measurement systems.
- Familiarity with reviewing and critiquing vendor and subcontractor updates.
