Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Software Specialist with a strong background in Epicor Prophet 21 to lead our transition from QuickBooks to Prophet 21 and provide ongoing support for the system. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth migration process and continued operational efficiency postmigration. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both QuickBooks and Prophet 21 with proven experience in managing complex software migrations.

- Migration Management:
- Lead the endtoend migration process from QuickBooks to Epicor Prophet 21.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define migration requirements timelines and deliverables.
- Develop and execute a detailed migration plan including data mapping testing and validation.
- Coordinate with Epicor consultants and internal teams to ensure seamless data transfer and system integration.
- Identify potential risks during migration and implement mitigation strategies to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
- System Configuration & Optimization:
- Customize and configure Epicor Prophet 21 to meet business needs.
- Optimize system performance and workflows to align with company processes and best practices.
- Assist in the creation of user roles permissions and system security protocols.
- Training & Documentation:
- Develop and deliver training programs for endusers to ensure effective use of Prophet 21.
- Create comprehensive documentation for system procedures troubleshooting guides and best practices.
- Provide ongoing support and training to users postmigration to ensure system proficiency.
- Ongoing Support & Maintenance:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Prophet 21related issues and inquiries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues working closely with Epicor support as needed.
- Perform regular system audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with company policies.
- Implement software updates patches and upgrades ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Continuously assess system performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards within Prophet 21 to support business decisionmaking.
- Analyze system data to identify trends inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Computer Science Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 35 years of experience working with Epicor Prophet 21 with a strong focus on system implementation and support.
- Proven experience managing software migrations particularly from QuickBooks to a more robust ERP system.
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial processes preferably with experience using QuickBooks.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Epicor Prophet 21 and QuickBooks.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage timelines resources and stakeholder expectations.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to translate technical concepts to nontechnical users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Experience in the distribution or manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of SQL and report writing tools (e.g. Crystal Reports).
