System Specialist (Windows)

Position Summary
Our client is looking for a System Specialist to join the team! The Specialist will be responsible for Windows upgrades Windows Patch & Vulnerability Remediation and will provide support with all associated testing prior to deployment and process improvement.
Requirements:
- Associate degree required or related experience
- Bachelors Degree Preferred
- 12 years experience with Microsoft Patching
Basic skills:
- Server and System Engineering
- Has a basic understanding of WSUS
- Current with the latest technologies
- Wellversed in OS types such as Windowsand 2012 technologies and versions associated with IE in a support application environment
- Extremely documentfocused with a high degree of skills in Microsoft Office
- Excel PowerPoint Word Project Visio and other tools to show results and demonstrate solutions
- Asset Management experience with tools and process
- Experience with AntiVirus technologies
- Deliver a highquality IT service including security policies and uptodate patching for software
- Experience working with Group Policy Administration
- Experience working with: Microsoft Active Directory
- Knowledge of Microsoft products such as SharePoint UAG IIS and SQL server
- Knowledge of authentication methods from application to AD such as NTLM Kerberos and LDAP as well as protocols such as SSH SMTP SNMP DNS HTTP HTTPS and network protocols
- Familiar with Microsoft patching schedules and methods
