Job Summary:
The Payroll Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the payroll department ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees. This role requires meticulous attention to detail excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive payroll data with confidentiality. The Payroll Assistant will work closely with the Payroll team and HR team to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for all employees ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Data Entry: Input and maintain payroll data including employee information attendance leaves bonuses and deductions into the payroll system.
- Audit and Verification: Review payroll reports and timesheets for accuracy and completeness; ensure proper authorization and compliance with company policies.
- Tax and Deductions: Assist with calculating and processing payroll taxes benefits and other deductions.
- Employee Inquiries: Address payrollrelated inquiries from employees resolving any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
- Compliance: Ensure payroll processing complies with federal state and local laws including withholding reporting and filing requirements.
- Reporting: Generate payroll reports for internal and external purposes including audits management reviews and compliance reporting.
- Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of employee information and payroll data at all times.
- Documentation: Assist in maintaining payroll records filing reports and ensuring accurate documentation for audits and compliance.
- Support Payroll Manager: Provide administrative support to the Payroll Manager including scheduling meetings preparing documents and handling correspondence.
- Special Projects: Assist with payroll projects system upgrades and process improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in accounting finance business administration or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll or a related administrative role preferably in a corporate environment.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g. ADP SAP QuickBooks) and MS Office (Excel Word Outlook).
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
- Good understanding of payroll regulations taxes and compliance.
- Amenable to work onsite from Monday to Friday in our Alabang office.
