SENIOR ACCOUNTANT NQ CA(SA) for PRIVATE SECTOR Rpm Discretionary Bonus CBD CPT with 1 day work from home
ROLE:
To ensure the accuracy compliance and timeliness of all financial reporting for the group (three entities) while optimising accounting processes supporting strategic financial planning and leading a highperforming accounting team.

DUTIES:
- Accurate financial reporting: Ensure that monthly quarterly biannual and annual consolidated financial statements are accurate compliant with IFRS and completed on time
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure full compliance with all relevant tax and financial regulations including timely filing of taxes and regulatory returns.
- Process Optimization & Efficiency: Improve financial processes to streamline workflows reduce errors and increase the speed of the close cycle by 30% within 12 months
- Audit and Internal Controls: Ensure a clean and timely external audit with minimal material issues. Improve and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Budgeting and forecasting: Lead the preparation and management of the group s annual budget ensuring alignment with strategic goals and maintaining cost controls throughout the fiscal year. Provide ongoing analysis and financial insights to ensure accurate financial planning.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Financial Acumen: knowledge of IFRS and financial regulations. Understanding tax law consolidation and financial statements (derivative instruments IFRS 9 IFRIC 12 intangible asset/financial instrument IFRS 15). Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

Requirements
- Newly Qualified CA(SA) / Eligible to Register CA(SA)
- Drafting consolidated IFRS financial statements in CaseWare (IFRS 9 effective interest rate calculations deferred tax tax recons etc.)
- Ability to prepare for and manage external audits including liaising with auditors ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Experience working with financial models and advanced Excel (pivot tables macros VBA) is a plus
- Xero accounting software experience is a plus
