Job Description: Senior UX/UI Designer
Location: Bedfordview Johannesburg Gauteng South Africa
Type: Fulltime
About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned and innovative Senior UX/UI Designer to lead the design of cuttingedge digital experiences. You will take ownership of the entire design process emphasizing a usercentered approach while aligning with business goals. This role requires a strategic mindset understanding of user needs and a sharp eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Leadership:
- Own endtoend design processes ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
- Advocate for usercentered design principles across teams.
- Report on releases and their impact strategizing for iterative improvements.
- Research & Strategy:
- Plan and conduct user research competitive analysis and usability testing pre and postdeployment.
- Report on findings to refine and improve the overall user experience.
- Utilize datadriven insights to define design strategies and user experiences.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in user experiences using key data insights.
- Create a user experience backlog for continuous improvements.
- HighQuality Design Execution:
- Create detailed wireframes prototypes and highfidelity designs for web and mobile platforms.
- Ensure designs are visually compelling functional and aligned with brand identity.
- Collaborate with developers for seamless implementation of designs.
- Collaboration:
- Lead design workshops and presentations to articulate design decisions.
- Act as a communication bridge between design and development teams.
- Design Systems:
- Develop maintain and enhance the company’s design system and component libraries.
- Document design work including user testing and developer briefing documents.
- Drive consistency in design across all touchpoints.
- Innovation & Trends:
- Stay updated on industry trends tools and best practices.
- Propose and implement innovative solutions to complex design challenges.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in UX/UI design with a portfolio showcasing complex and impactful projects.
- Technical Expertise:
- Mastery of design tools like Figma or similar.
- Strong knowledge of user research methods usability testing and analytics.
- Understanding of frontend technologies (HTML CSS JavaScript) for effective collaboration.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Strong communication and storytelling skills to present design concepts.
- Able to manage multiple projects with timely delivery.
- Soft Skills:
- Strategic and innovative thinking with a userfirst approach.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Collaborative proactive and adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
