Brake Shear Operator
Pay:$18/HR (Depending on Experience)
Hours:Monday Friday Day Shift
Job Type:Temp to Hire
Location:Catoosa Oklahoma
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Brake Shear Operator to join our team. In this role you will set up and operate power brakes to bend notch and form metal plates and sheets according to blueprint specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate power brake machines to bend notch punch and form metal plates or sheets per blueprints or sketches.
- Select position and align dies in the machine adjusting pressure and clearance settings as needed.
- Perform layout work from blueprints or templates manually positioning workpieces or using cranes for alignment.
- Operate the machine to bend or cut metal setting stops for successive operations and verifying workpiece dimensions.
- Adjust machine settings including rake and blade pressure and position stops and guides for accurate cuts.
MustHave Qualifications:
- Proven ability to set up and operate power brakes and other metalworking machinery.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints or sketches for layout and alignment.
- Strong mechanical skills with attention to detail in metal forming and cutting operations.
- Ability to work with precision ensuring accurate dimensions and quality results.
