The Commercial Lead is responsible for leading and executing the company s commercial strategy to drive revenue growth optimize profitability and foster strong client relationships within the logistics sector. This role requires strategic thinking industry expertise and leadership skills with a proven track record in commercial management especially in logistics and supply chain services.

Responsibilities:
Strategy Development & Implementation:
- Develop and implement the commercial strategy in line with the companys goals and market trends.
- Identify new business opportunities and market segments to grow the customer base.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify growth areas competitive positioning and pricing strategies.
Business Development & Sales:
- Lead the sales and business development teams to meet revenue targets.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients partners and stakeholders.
- Drive proposal development contract negotiations and close highvalue deals.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless service delivery.
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and nurture longterm client relationships to ensure customer retention and loyalty.
- Serve as the senior contact for key accounts addressing escalated issues promptly.
- Collect and use client feedback to drive service improvements and innovation.
Revenue & Profitability Management:
- Take responsibility for commercial KPIs including revenue growth gross margin targets and customer retention.
- Develop pricing models and contracts that maximize profitability while staying competitive.
- Analyze financial performance budgets and forecasts for the department.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead mentor and develop the commercial team to ensure high performance and growth.
- Set clear objectives conduct performance reviews and promote a resultsdriven culture.
- Encourage crossdepartmental collaboration to align with broader company objectives.
Market & Competitor Analysis:
- Stay informed on industry trends competitor activities and evolving customer needs.
- Provide strategic insights for product or service development and market positioning.
- Ensure the company remains competitive and adaptable to market changes.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure all commercial activities are compliant with legal and regulatory standards.
- Manage risks related to contracts client relationships and market fluctuations.
- Collaborate with the legal department to secure favorable terms and mitigate risks in client agreements.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration Logistics Supply Chain Management or a related field. A relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years in a commercial role with 23 years of managerial and sales leadership experience preferably in logistics transportation or supply chain.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the logistics and supply chain market including trends regulations and technological advancements.
