  Recruitment for 3DCG Engineers and Artists at a VTuber Production a New Business Started in April 2023

  Our company through our group companies engages in sound production content creation audio production video production and voice actor and talent management businesses. Leveraging our expertise in these areas we aim to accelerate and enhance the activities of our new VTuber production business while expanding into new fields.

  Currently under the department manager 16 members are running the production. However only three members are exclusively dedicated engineers with designers supporting the engineers. We are currently facing a shortage of manpower.

  To expand the business further we are now recruiting dedicated 3D engineers and artists. We are looking forward to applications from passionate individuals who want to grow together of a channel with over 1 million subscribers as we move forward to the next stage!

  As a 3D Engineer/Artist for the VTuber production you will be responsible for adjusting the 3D models of VTubers. While the initial design and modeling of VTubers are handled by external artists this position will start with tasks such as making detailed adjustments to costumes and other specifications.

  Eventually you will be involved in recording VTuber projects and conducting live events in VR worlds.

  Specific Job Responsibilities

  1. Adjusting 3D Models Customizing and Creating Small Objects

  You will adjust and process 3D models delivered by external modelers according to the performers requests and project needs (e.g. simple costume changes).

  • Adjusting 3D models delivered by modelers (optimizing them for capture software)
  • Setting up 3D models (characterization bone adjustments retargeting)

  2. Recording VTuber Projects and Conducting Live Events in VR Worlds

  You will provide technical support and proposals for full tracking recording and streaming using motion capture.

  • Setting up VR spaces (procure assets from the asset store as needed)
  • Creating and implementing objects (procure assets from the asset store as needed)
  • Creating camera work
  • Creating lighting (lighting effects)
  • Progress management of various projects and coordination/negotiation within and outside the company

  Starting with tasks like integrating with Unity adjusting 3D models and creating small objects you will have opportunities for career growth such as expanding into studio/streaming/equipmentrelated tasks or increasing your involvement in 3D modeling based on your preferences and aptitudes.

  Additionally you will have the chance to be involved in organizational building and business development as part of the new business division.

Minimum Requirements

  • Basic knowledge related to postprocessing
  • Experience in creating game assets and 3D objects
  • Strong interest in the VTuber industry

• Remote work: You can choose to come to the office at least 3 times a week or be fully remote depending on the teams policy.

• Based on experience ability and previous work experience
