Job Description

Safety Manager

Summary

The Safety Manager is responsible for developing implementing and overseeing Boxman Studios health and safety programs to ensure compliance with legal regulations promote a safe workplace and prevent accidents. This role involves conducting safety audits training employees on safety protocols and continuously improving safety policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies an procedures to meet regulatory requirements (e.g. OSHA EPA).
  • Conduct regular safety audits risk assessments and inspections to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
  • Lead accident investigations identify root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain and update safety documentation including safety manuals procedures and training records.
  • Collaborate with management to establish and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal state and local safety and health regulations.
  • Organize and conduct safety training programs for employees including new hire orientation equipment handling and emergency response procedures.
  • Develop and manage safety performance metrics tracking incidents and near misses and reporting findings to senior management.
  • Lead the emergency preparedness program including fire drills evacuation plans and firstaid protocols.
  • Maintain effective communication with external regulatory agencies and represent the company during inspections or audits.
  • Manage the companys workers compensation program ensuring timely reporting and resolution of workplace injuries.
  • Stay uptodate with new laws regulations and industry best practices related to workplace safety.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree (BA) from fouryear college or university or three to five years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certificates as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) OSHA certification or other relevant safety certifications preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA EPA and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to train and influence employees at all levels.
  • Computer skills required: safety management software and MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).
