Safety Manager
Summary
The Safety Manager is responsible for developing implementing and overseeing Boxman Studios health and safety programs to ensure compliance with legal regulations promote a safe workplace and prevent accidents. This role involves conducting safety audits training employees on safety protocols and continuously improving safety policies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies an procedures to meet regulatory requirements (e.g. OSHA EPA).
- Conduct regular safety audits risk assessments and inspections to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Lead accident investigations identify root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain and update safety documentation including safety manuals procedures and training records.
- Collaborate with management to establish and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all federal state and local safety and health regulations.
- Organize and conduct safety training programs for employees including new hire orientation equipment handling and emergency response procedures.
- Develop and manage safety performance metrics tracking incidents and near misses and reporting findings to senior management.
- Lead the emergency preparedness program including fire drills evacuation plans and firstaid protocols.
- Maintain effective communication with external regulatory agencies and represent the company during inspections or audits.
- Manage the companys workers compensation program ensuring timely reporting and resolution of workplace injuries.
- Stay uptodate with new laws regulations and industry best practices related to workplace safety.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree (BA) from fouryear college or university or three to five years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certificates as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) OSHA certification or other relevant safety certifications preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA EPA and other relevant safety regulations.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to train and influence employees at all levels.
- Computer skills required: safety management software and MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).
