Continuous Improvement Manager

Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop maintain and communicate a vision and strategy for implementing a comprehensive Lean manufacturing system.
- Set expectations to foster a continuous improvement culture.
- Drive Continuous Improvement to quantitatively and qualitatively improvecosts quality and serviceto achieve business results.
- Identify and facilitateprocess improvement projects training and workshopsto drive cultural change.
- Conductroot cause analysisto address and troubleshoot:
- Manufacturing and assembly issues
- Material flow
- Project plans
- Production capacity
- Facility design
- Process documentation
- Perform advanced data collection and analysis forprocess mappingand develop budgets/cost analyses to determine project feasibility.
- Develop systematic training programs and implement Continuous Improvement methodologies including:
- Six Sigma
- 5S
- Lean Manufacturing
- Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE)
- Track downtime results improve data integrity and communicate findings with management to develop improvement plans.
- Provide strategic leadership and tactical planning fortechnical training initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify and prioritizeprocess improvement opportunitiesthat support costsaving programs and future growth.
- Review internal processes and procedures usingdatadriven toolsto:
- Detect operating issues
- Assess returnoninvestment (ROI) for ongoing projects
- Improve the companys operating output by identifying and eliminating defects/errors in products.
- Improvequality standardsin operating activities.
- Utilize project management skills to identify prioritize and manage process improvement projects that enhanceperformance and productivity.
- Continuously monitor and study processes to implementeffective process improvements.
- Ensure work quality aligns with the companys Quality Plan.
- Build and motivate teams to participate in projects aimed at improving processeseliminating waste and reducing defects.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree inEngineering Business or a related field.
- Minimum of5 yearsof general management experience in amanufacturing environment.
