Today they have extensive distribution networks and services including air and sea freight forwarding warehousing trucking transportation and courier services for doortodoor delivery.
You will lead a team in standardising optimizing and achieving compliance of the operational processes across Asia. This role is responsible for achieving costtoserve targets driving process improvements and supporting the commercial solution teams in their pursuit of business. You will collaborate with various teams to integrate services ensure compliance with industry standards and deliver continuous process improvements that meet both business and efficiency goals.
The Challenges
Process Engineering & Performance Management
- Lead the solution design reengineering and enhancement of operational processes across all lines of business ensuring stability capability and standardization to meet market requirements.
- Oversee the OrdertoCash (OTC) process linking Front Line Operations (FLO) to Global Business Services (GBS) seamlessly across functions.
- Ensure strict adherence to process standards fostering consistency in service delivery across the region.
- Continuously improve processes to meet business needs conducting audits and reviews to streamline and automate operations.
- Define and deploy operational KPIs that ensure toptier service delivery collaborating with regional teams and key account owners to align service levels with costtoserve goals.
Operations Excellence & Management
- Develop and maintain systems to set performance standards and foster a performancebased culture.
- Conduct statistical quality control and build robust data sources to measure process efficiency.
- Manage vendor relationships including service quality audits and rate negotiations ensuring alignment with Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives driving broader business benefits through standardized reporting and performance measurement methodologies.
- Collaborate with regional leadership to monitor resource usage drive productivity and support costreduction initiatives.
- Develop regular reports on operational performance such as productivity performance and cost analysis to drive datainformed decisionmaking.
- Analyze operational data to identify issues and optimize service levels efficiency and overall process flows.
Solutions Engineering & Commercial Support
- Collaborate with stakeholders on logistics and solutions engineering for complex commercial pursuits integrating physical information and documentbased solutions.
- Support innovation and the development of new services to ensure alignment with market demands and business growth strategies.
Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team driving transformational change and enhancing operational performance.
- Manage team resources address performance issues and identify training needs to boost productivity and staff development.
- Inspire and engage teams across functions to achieve objectives fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Partner with commercial regional leadership and functional teams to effectively execute operational strategies and regional initiatives.
Financial Management
- Support financial targets review and manage the annual budget presenting key findings and updates to senior leadership.
- Monitor weekly operational performance based on agreed KPIs ensuring budget and financial goals are met or exceeded.
What It Takes
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in Business Logistics or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in multinational corporations ideally in transportation freight supply chain or logistics.
- Strong background in implementing LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies.
- At least 5 years of management experience leading large teams (10) preferably in global transportation.
