Design for Equity: Graphic Designer for an MIT Startup Revolutionizing Cancer Screening
Position Overview:
As a Graphic Designer you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing the visual branding and collateral for our groundbreaking Smart Connected Capsule Product. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the creation of a brand that will lead the way in making healthcare more accessible equitable and patientcentric.
Key Responsibilities:
- Brand Identity: Develop and maintain a strong and consistent visual brand identity that communicates our companys values mission and uniqueness.
- Logo and Visual Elements: Create or refine the companys logo and select appropriate visual elements (colors typography imagery) that reflect the brands personality and resonate with our target audience.
- Collateral Design: Produce various marketing and promotional collateral including brochures pamphlets product packaging and digital assets that maintain brand consistency.
- Website Design: Collaborate with web developers to design and maintain the company website ensuring it is userfriendly visually appealing and onbrand.
- Social Media Graphics: Create engaging graphics and visual content for social media platforms to help build brand awareness and engage with the audience.
- Print and Digital Advertising: Design advertisements for print and digital media that effectively communicate the benefits and features of our Capsule Endoscopy Product.
- Product Design Guidelines: Establish and document design guidelines for the products user interface ensuring a consistent and visually pleasing user experience.
- Photography and Illustration: Coordinate and direct photoshoots or create illustrations and imagery that align with the brands visual identity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite Sketch Figma etc.).
- Strong portfolio showcasing design work and brand identity development.
- Understanding of usercentered design principles and the ability to empathize with the audience.
- Creative thinking attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with industryspecific design regulations and standards is a plus.
