Overview:
We seek a Strategic Plant Head to lead our manufacturing facility in Chennai. This pivotal role will oversee all plant operations ensuring efficient production of superior mechanical auto components. We require a visionary leader with strong engineering and manufacturing acumen capable of driving strategic initiatives to enhance operational performance and achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with corporate objectives to optimize plant performance and productivity.
- Drive initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes quality assurance and costefficiency.
Operational Management:
- Oversee daily plant operations including production quality control maintenance and safety.
- Implement strategies to improve production efficiency and meet manufacturing targets.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of managers and supervisors to foster a collaborative and highperformance culture.
- Conduct regular performance reviews provide constructive feedback and support professional development initiatives.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement robust quality control measures and drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize defects and enhance product quality.
Safety & Environmental Compliance:
- Promote a culture of safety ensuring compliance with health safety and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the plant s budget to ensure costeffective operations and alignment with financial targets.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and optimize resource utilization.
Infrastructure & Asset Management:
- Oversee maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of plant equipment and facilities.
- Plan and execute upgrades and improvements to support production requirements and operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with senior management to align plant strategies with organizational goals.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers customers and key stakeholders to enhance business outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the automotive or mechanical components industry.
- Proven track record of successfully leading plant operations driving continuous improvement and achieving operational excellence.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes quality management systems and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and other relevant plant management software.
- Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to make informed decisions and solve complex problems effectively.
