Job Description
Location: Sumbawa Indonesia
Our client a key player in Indonesias mining sector known for its significant copper and gold operations commitment to sustainability and innovative approaches to environmental and social responsibility is currently seeking a Refractory Superintendent.
The Superintendent will oversee the installation repair and replacement of refractory linings in furnaces and related equipment at our smelter including flash and anode furnaces twin casting wheel facility as well as in the Sulphuric Acid Plant and Precious Metals Refinery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing planning procurement and installation of refractory materials during major shutdowns and new project commissioning.
- Promoting a culture of quality safety and sustainability in refractory maintenance through adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Leading the Refractory team in performance improvement and continuous training initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Civil/Ceramic Engineering (Highly Desirable)
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in refractory installation and maintenance with at least 5 years in leadership positions
- Domain knowledge of refractory
- Leadership and supervisory skills
- Understanding of quality systems and process control tools
