Job Description
PL/SQL Developer
Location: Philadelphia PA (Hybrid)
Contract Duration: 12 months
About the role:
- 7 plus years of backend focused Development using PL/SQL.
- MUST be expert level strong dev and troubleing ss
- ETL experience/transactions into the backend with PL/SQL (strong ss on integration of data from various sources)
- strong ss with TSQL Development (intermediate level)
- strong soft ss/ tech chop combo to engage the biz and IT
Timeline to start/fill: ASAP
- Interview Process (how many rounds and any details). 30 min TEAMS IV 2 rounds. Technical in nature
Full Spec:
- This backend developer will work on existing mission critical applications utilizing various technologies such PL/SQL ETL and TSQL development.
- In this role the developer must be able to interpret business requirement doents write functional code and unit test.
- Additionally the developer will be required to fix defects on the backend so requires strong troubleing and collaboration ss.
- The developer should be a team player and excellent communicator and must be able to work with source control with multiple simultaneous branches.
Reminder On The Role:
- we need a STRONG Sr. PL/SQL with TECH results. App Dev with PL/SQL SME!
- Must have strong comm ss tech discussions are clear and concise
- expert PL/SQL Dev but must bring tools like TOAD and SQL Plus
- TSQL as well
- Must be local/ready for onsite in Philly will be remote/hybrid
FULL SPEC / updated for Backend DEV:
- PMT IT Application Development requires an additional Oracle PL/SQL developer to create backend software.
- This developer will work on existing mission critical applications.
- In this role the developer must be able to interpret business requirement doents write functional code and unit test.
- Additionally the developer will be required to fix defects in legacy code.
- The developer should be a team player and excellent communicator and must be able to work with source control on multiple simultaneous branches.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in requirements ysis
- Take direction from senior developers
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce software
- Write clean scalable code
- Unit test and prepare applications for deployment
- Revise update refactor and debug code
- Improve existing software
- Create doentation as required
- Provide production support
- Available to provide third tier support to the help desk on igned weekends and holidays if needed.
- Ability to work remotely and/or onsite Requirements
- Proven experience as a PL/SQL Application Developer using Toad SQL Plus (minimum 5 years)
- Ability to create views packages functions and stored procedures
- Ability to work with collections
- Ability to work with async processes
- Interpret plans and optimize queries and functions
- Ability to create complex DML and debug
- Excellent troubleing and communication ss
- Attention to detail is of the utmost importance
- BS/BA in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of development experience
Must have strong comm ss, tech discussions are clear and concise - expert PL/SQL Dev, but must bring tools like TOAD and SQL Plus TSQL as well
